I am your Instrument

Hold me close, it’s

just you and me.

There’s no need for an orchestra

or symphony.

Under the stars

or by candle light,

let us make music

unforeseen by sight.

I am your guitar,

with six strings to strum.

Rub your fingers against me,

and attune to my hum.

I am your drum,

and yours alone.

Rhythmically beating,

resonating our moan.

I am your violin,

simple and define.

A gentle hand and glide of a bow,

I control your tune, and you, mine.

Let us make music,

that only we can hear.

No chorus, hymns, or sonnets,

are needed, just hold me near.

“One good thing about music, when it hits you, you feel no pain.”

—Bob Marley
