Your Fan

First, I wanted to apologize for not staying consistent with posting content. It’s not “Writer’s Block” or procrastination. I’m honestly really happy that I’m able to do this as a full time gig, for now at least. With that, I was also able to self-publish my first poetry book! Don’t worry, I’m not going to give you my sales pitch— if I even have one. I’m doing other things to help me progress as a writer and hopefully, make it the dream job I’ve always wanted.

I also wanted to introduce myself to you, more formally.

I’m John-Anthony but I go by either “John” or “Jay”. I don’t have a degree to gloat about—sorry, just a love for writing. There are many other things I can mention, but that’s what poetry is to me. It’s something that I can lock away and for others to unravel.

I’m a big fan of poetry, travel, food, and story blogs! On Sundays, I love just spending my time reading the tags I have set on my Reader. Just so you know, I really read through all the poems or entries posted, followed or not. There’s something about reading someone’s knowledge or expertise for their given blog topic that makes it the most interesting.

With room to always improve, I gladly accept compliments as well as constructive feedback. I know it can put a damper on the day, but we have to be able to see it from the reader’s perspective. It’s who we’re writing for, isn’t it?

I give it my best when I post my poetry. My goal is to either move you, relate to you, or stop you in your tracks with a provoking thought. Hopefully, I met those goals. By the way, I really do appreciate the likes and comments! Deep down, it really means a lot. If you don’t like it, I’m okay with that too. There isn’t a need to like something if you don’t. So, I take no offense to it.

Hopefully, this gives you a better view about who “Your fan” is and why I do what I do. Keep writing friend, I’m always looking forward to it!
